The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has officially announced the removal of former Lagos State Football Association (LSFA) chairman, Fouad Oki.
In a letter dated March 26 and directed to the Secretary of the Lagos FA, signed by Acting General Secretary Ademola Olajire, the NFF recognized Hajj Liameed Gafar as the new LSFA chairman in accordance with the association’s statutes.
“I am authorized by the NFF President and Executive Committee to congratulate you on the successful Extraordinary General Assembly (EGA) and confirm that it was conducted in line with the LSFA statutes,” the letter stated.
The NFF also awaits the LSFA executive meeting’s outcome to elect a new vice chairman.
The federation expressed confidence in the new LSFA leadership’s ability to revamp football in Lagos State, emphasizing inclusiveness and support from all stakeholders.
