NFF President Urges Nigerian National League To Secure Sponsors For Growth.
The President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, has called on the leadership of the Nigerian National League (NNL) to urgently secure sponsors and partners for the league, which he described as the most crucial in Nigerian football.
Represented by Alhaji Baba Gana Kally, a member of the NFF Executive Board, Gusau delivered a keynote address at the 2024 Annual General Meeting of the NNL held in Bauchi. He emphasised that the development of the Nigerian National League is essential to the future of the country’s football and challenged the NNL leadership to step up efforts in securing collaborations that would bolster the league’s profile.
Gusau reaffirmed his commitment to leaving Nigerian football in a better state than he found it and urged that all possible efforts be made to improve the game nationwide.
In his welcome address, the Chairman of the NNL, George Aluo, highlighted the progress made since his Board’s inauguration a year ago. Aluo noted that significant strides had been made in enhancing the league’s operations, officiating standards, and overall behaviour within the league. He expressed confidence that these improvements would continue into the 2024/2025 season, promising to elevate the league even further.
Aluo also sought the support and cooperation of all football stakeholders to ensure a smooth execution of the upcoming 2024/2025 NNL season.
