The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has expressed interest in appointing Herve Renard as the new head coach of the Super Eagles.
According to L’Equipe, Renard, who currently manages the France Women’s team, is nearing the end of his tenure in that role. He is expected to depart after the Olympics.
Renard has also confirmed that he has informed the France Football Federation (FFF) about his plans to step down.
“It’s a challenging position. If I had to summarize, my focus is on the 2026 World Cup in men’s football. I aspire to lead a men’s team for the third time at the World Cup. These are my personal goals,” he stated.
Renard is attracting interest from several other countries as well. Apart from Nigeria, he is reportedly a target for Poland, South Korea, Cameroon, and Morocco, especially if Walid Regragui vacates his position.
