NFF Appoints Justin Madugu As Interim Head Coach Of Super Falcons.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has officially appointed Justin Madugu as the interim head coach of the Super Falcons, the nine-time African champions.
Madugu will lead the team on a temporary basis while the NFF continues its search for a permanent head coach. This decision follows the recent resignation of Randy Waldrum, the American coach who stepped down earlier this month after serving as the team’s head coach.
Prior to this appointment, Madugu was an assistant to Waldrum, gaining valuable experience with the team. He will now collaborate with the existing technical crew as they prepare for upcoming competitions.
The Super Falcons’ next major tournament is the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) finals, which will be held in Morocco in the summer of 2025. Madugu’s appointment comes at a crucial time, as the team looks to maintain its dominance on the continent and prepare for the challenges ahead.
The NFF has yet to announce when a permanent head coach will be appointed.
