Aurelio de Laurentiis, the President of Napoli, has emphasized the club’s steadfast stance against parting ways with Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen.
The Nigerian international has recently been linked to a significant transfer to Saudi Arabia Professional League outfit Al Hila, following earlier expressions of interest from prominent clubs including Manchester United, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, and PSG.
President de Laurentiis’ statement reaffirms Napoli’s commitment to retaining Osimhen, despite the substantial attention he has garnered in the transfer market. The striker’s future has generated notable speculation, particularly surrounding a potential move to Al Hila after initial associations with top European clubs.
While Osimhen’s name has circulated in transfer discussions, Napoli remains resolute in holding on to their valued player, indicating their determination to keep him within their ranks.
However, in a chat with Sky News, De Laurentiis, stated that the Partenopei will not sell their talismanic forward.
“Osimhen will stay here. He won’t leave,” he told Sky.
“He’s under contract until June 2025, where should he go? Contracts should be respected.
“We have been on the same page with Osimhen since day one. Don’t be worried.
