Telecoms Giant, MTN Nigeria Communication Plc has reacted to a glitch in its system which impacted balance enquiries.
This error cleared all debts owed by MTN subscribers, it was reported to have occurred early on Saturday with netizens expressing jubilations across social media platforms.
The telecom company has however released a statement to this effect saying all errors would be back to normal as it is currently working on fixing the situation.
“MTN Nigeria Communications Plc can confirm a system glitch impacting balance enquiries. As a result, some customers may receive error messages showing that their balances have been cleared.
“This is not the case and all balances will reflect accurate figures once the problem is resolved. Our engineers are currently working to ensure this,” the statement said.
They thereafter apologized on inconveniencies caused.
“Please accept our apologies. We regret the inconvenience.”
