LA Galaxy Eye Marco Reus as Next Big Signing
(Govima Sports Report).
Major League Soccer outfit LA Galaxy are reportedly eager to bring veteran Germany international Marco Reus to their squad. The 35-year-old midfielder recently made his final appearance for Borussia Dortmund, coming off the bench in their Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid at Wembley on Saturday.
LA Galaxy, known for signing high-profile European players, have previously brought in stars such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Steven Gerrard, following the landmark arrival of David Beckham in 2007. Reus could be the next illustrious name to join their ranks.
However, any potential transfer will have to wait until the MLS transfer window opens on July 18. The timing leaves LA Galaxy in a race against their local rivals, LAFC, who have already confirmed the signing of France forward Olivier Giroud after Euro 2024.
Currently, LA Galaxy are fourth in the Western Conference, trailing behind LAFC. The addition of a player of Reus’s caliber could provide the boost they need to close the gap and make a strong push for the top of the standings.
Fans will be watching closely as the transfer window approaches, eager to see if the club can secure yet another marquee signing to bolster their squad.
