Liverpool Confident Of Mohamed Salah’s Future Amid Contract Uncertainty.
Liverpool manager Arne Slot has expressed confidence that Mohamed Salah will remain a key player for the club “for a long time” following his stellar display in the thrilling 3-3 draw against Newcastle at St James’ Park.
Despite his contract expiring at the end of the season, Salah, 32, proved his immense value once again. The Egyptian forward provided the assist for Curtis Jones’ opener and scored twice himself before Fabian Schär’s last-minute equaliser denied Liverpool all three points.
Slot praised Salah’s contribution, telling Amazon Prime: “Every time we need Mo Salah, he scores a goal. We are hoping and expecting he can continue this for a long time. He was outstanding in the second half; he did many special things for us.”
Salah’s future at Anfield remains uncertain after the player recently voiced his disappointment over the club’s failure to offer him a new deal. However, his performances on the pitch continue to underline his importance to Liverpool’s title ambitions this season.
The result leaves Liverpool seven points clear at the top of the Premier League table, but Salah’s continued brilliance will be vital as the Reds face a busy December schedule in the hunt for domestic and European success.
