The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has launched an investigation into a viral video showing two individuals staging a scene on Ozumba Mbadiwe Road, Victoria Island, without proper authorization.
The video captures one man exiting a grey Camry parked in the middle of the road, sitting on the car’s bonnet, while another walks in front of the car and strikes a pose.
In a statement issued on Tuesday by LASTMA’s Director of Public Affairs and Enlightenment, Adebayo Taofiq, the agency confirmed that swift action is being taken to address the incident.
“The attention of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority has been drawn to a viral video on social media, depicting two individuals in a grey Camry (AAA 62 EL) enacting a scene on Ozumba Mbadiwe Road, Victoria Island, without official authorization,” the statement read.
LASTMA assured the public that an investigation is underway and that appropriate measures will be taken, using the vehicle’s registration number, in accordance with the Lagos State Transport Sector Reform Law of 2018.
