Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has shut down several popular establishments in the Surulere and Orile Iganmu areas for noise pollution.
Among the affected are Red Pepper Bites Limited, Lacibo Restaurant & Lounge, Krusty Butter Bakery & Pastries, Addie, Don Nelson Resort & Suites, and Revelated Christian Ministry.
In a statement released on its X handle on Friday, LASEPA detailed a comprehensive enforcement operation aimed at curbing noise pollution and other environmental violations. Despite multiple warnings and abatement notices issued previously, these establishments continued to flout regulations, leading to their temporary closure.
The agency emphasized that this enforcement action is part of a broader effort to ensure strict compliance with environmental regulations and to improve the quality of life for Lagos residents affected by noise pollution.
