Former Deputy Governor of Kwara State, Peter Kisira, has passed away at the age of 74.
The sad news of his demise was confirmed by the state government through a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Rafiu Ajakaye. Kisira, who served as the deputy to former Governor Alhaji Abdulfattah Ahmed from May 29, 2011, to May 29, 2019, reportedly breathed his last in the early hours of Saturday.
Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq expressed his sadness upon learning of Kisira’s passing. In a condolence message, Governor AbdulRazaq extended heartfelt sympathies to the people of Baruten and the family of the deceased.
“The former deputy hovernor died at the age of 74, according to family accounts.
“On behalf of the people and government of the state, Governor AbdulRazaq sends his heartfelt condolences to the people of Baruten and the family of Elder Kisira, whom he urges to take solace in his fine legacies as a public servant and a bureaucrat who rose to the rank of permanent secretary in the state’s civil service.”
He urged them to find solace in Kisira’s distinguished legacy as a dedicated public servant and former bureaucrat who had risen to the rank of permanent secretary in the state’s civil service.
