The Kogi State Police Command has issued a stern warning to applicants of the 2022 police constable recruitment to remain vigilant against potential fraudsters. The cautionary advice comes amidst preparations for the Computer-Based Test (CBT), as announced by the Kogi Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP William Ovye Aya.
In an official statement released on Monday, SP Aya emphasized the importance of applicants being wary of individuals seeking to exploit them. He highlighted the upcoming CBT scheduled to take place from Tuesday 5th to Wednesday 6th March 2024, across designated centers specified by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
CP Bethrand C. Onuoha, the Commissioner of Police, conveyed his congratulations to the successful applicants selected for the CBT. However, he reiterated that the recruitment process remains entirely free of charge. This reaffirmation serves as a cautionary measure against potential job scammers aiming to deceive unsuspecting applicants.
Applicants were strongly advised to refrain from engaging in any form of examination malpractice or violating the rules governing the examination process, and urged to exercise caution, adhere to the stipulated guidelines, and report any suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities.
SP Aya stressed that individuals found culpable of such actions would face prosecution in accordance with the law.
