Kevin Großkreutz Reacts To Jürgen Klopp’s Move To Red Bull: “I Couldn’t Believe It”.

Former Borussia Dortmund player, Kevin Großkreutz, has expressed his shock and sadness following the announcement that Jürgen Klopp has joined Red Bull. Speaking candidly, Großkreutz shared his disbelief upon hearing the news, describing it as “pretty shocking” and admitting that it has yet to fully sink in.

“I woke up to 30 messages on my phone and thought: What happened? I thought I was dreaming and then hoped it was fake news,” he said, recounting the moment he learned of Klopp’s move. “Two hours later, it was official. It was pretty shocking and sad.”

The news of Klopp’s unexpected decision has left many in the football world stunned, and Großkreutz echoed that sentiment, stating, “I don’t think anyone was expecting it. It’s very, very strange, and I can’t really comprehend it yet. It’s like shock!”

Despite his personal feelings, Großkreutz acknowledged the strong friendship he shares with Klopp, crediting the manager for much of his success. “He’s a friend of mine, and I owe him a lot. I will always be grateful to him.”

However, the former Dortmund star didn’t hold back on his frustration as a football fan, bluntly admitting, “I think it sucks! But as a friend, you have to accept decisions being made.”

Großkreutz concluded by stating that when he meets Klopp in person, he won’t hesitate to share his thoughts: “I’ll still tell him personally that I think it’s sh*t that he does something like that!”

Jürgen Klopp’s move to Red Bull as the head of Global Soccer of Group marks a surprising turn in his career, and while his decision is sure to spark further debate, the support and loyalty of friends like Großkreutz remain steadfast.
