The Governor of Kano State, Abba Yusuf, on Monday distributed Ramadan palliatives to patients receiving treatment in government hospitals across the state.
In a press release issued by the Director of Special Duties, Sania Abba Ypla, the state’s commissioner of information, Halilu Dantiye, revealed that 2,213 (10 kg) sacks of maize and 2,213 (10 kg) bags of rice were given to patients who were admitted to general and cottage hospitals, paediatric hospitals and specialty hospitals throughout the state.
As the governor’s representative, Dantiye oversaw the delivery of the food supplies to each patient admitted at the Abubakar Imam Urology Centre and the Infectious Disease Hospital. He stated that the initiative’s main goal was to give those in need vital support during these trying times.
According to the commissioner, Yusuf’s administration gave priority to initiatives that have a direct impact on the lives of state residents, especially those with health issues, because they understand how important it is to ensure the welfare of all inhabitants.
Reiterating the government’s commitment to provide support to vulnerable populations, particularly during illness, the commissioner expressed happiness at the positive impact of the governor’s deed on the patients.
