Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka has been forced to withdraw from the England squad due to an injury setback.
The Football Association (FA) confirmed this development on Thursday, stating that Saka would be unavailable for upcoming matches against Brazil and Belgium. Instead, he will focus on recuperating at his club.
Saka, who plays as a forward for Arsenal, has been unable to participate in training sessions since joining the national team due to his injury. His absence was noted after he reported to St George’s Park earlier in the week.
In an official statement, the FA announced, “Bukayo Saka has departed from the England camp to continue his rehabilitation at his club.”
England’s upcoming fixtures include a match against Brazil at Wembley Stadium on Saturday, followed by a game against Belgium at the same venue on March 26th.
Meanwhile, Arsenal will resume their campaign post-international break with a crucial encounter against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on March 31st.
