The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the release of results for candidates who participated in the supplementary Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
This supplementary UTME was conducted on Friday, June 21, and Saturday, June 22, 2024.
Fabian Benjamin, the spokesperson for JAMB, stated that the supplementary examination was held for 28,835 candidates. These candidates were unable to be biometrically verified during the main 2024 UTME and thus could not take their examination.
Benjamin provided instructions for candidates to check their results. He said, “To check their supplementary UTME results, candidates should send UTMERESULT to either 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number they used to generate their profile codes during registration.”
Additionally, the supplementary exam accommodated candidates suspected of involvement in examination malpractices during the main UTME, offering them a second chance to sit for the examination.
The exercise, noted for its nationwide success, was marked by stringent security measures to prevent examination infractions. Consequently, several individuals attempting to impersonate legitimate candidates were apprehended and handed over to law enforcement for further investigation and prosecution.
JAMB reaffirmed its commitment to preventing any candidate from benefiting from irregularities by employing advanced technology before, during, and after examinations. Candidates are urged to avoid engaging in any form of misconduct during their exams and to refrain from seeking score upgrades from fraudsters or tampering with their result sheets to generate fake scores.
Candidates are directed to send UTMERESULT to either 55019 or 66019 through their registered phone numbers to check their supplementary UTME results.
