Edin Terzić Departs Borussia Dortmund
Borussia Dortmund has officially announced the departure of head coach Edin Terzić. The news comes after a successful tenure marked by significant achievements, including a DFB-Pokal victory and a recent appearance in the Champions League final.
In a heartfelt message to the club’s supporters, Terzić expressed his deep gratitude and emotional connection to Borussia Dortmund. “Dear Borussians, even though it pains me greatly right now, I want to inform you that as of today, I will be leaving BVB. It was a tremendous honour to lead this great club to a DFB-Pokal victory and recently to a Champions League final,” he stated.
Following the team’s final match in Wembley, Terzić initiated a conversation with the club’s management about his decision to step down. “After our final in Wembley, I asked the management for a conversation because, after ten years at BVB, including five years in the coaching team and two and a half years as head coach, I feel that the upcoming restart should be led by a new person,” he explained.
Terzić’s departure marks the end of an era for Borussia Dortmund, where he has been a pivotal figure for a decade. His leadership and contributions have left an indelible mark on the club, and he departs with the admiration and respect of the fans and the football community.
Borussia Dortmund will now look ahead to a new chapter, as they seek a successor to build on Terzić’s legacy and lead the team into the future.
