Burnley have announced the signing of Aaron Ramsey from Aston Villa for roughly fourteen million pounds.
The 20-year-old is yet to make an appearance for Aston Villa in the premier league having been sent on different loan spells to Cheltenham Town for the second half of the 2021/22 season in League One under Michael Duff.
Last season, Ramsey continued his development by heading into the Championship with Dean Smith at Norwich City, and recorded six goal contributions for the Canaries before ending his spell there in January.
The young midfielder then joined Middlesbrough with fellow Villa academy graduate Cameron Archer. Ramsey scored five goals in 11 appearances under Michael Carrick, but Boro fell short of winning promotion in the play-offs.
Ramsey was also part of the Under-18 Villa squad who won the FA Youth Cup against Liverpool at Villa Park in 2021.
Unai Emery has made four additions to his squad this summer and shifted his focus to trimming the group he will work with next term in recent weeks.
Ramsey will now work with Manchester City legend Vincent Kompany at Turf Moor as Burnley look to build on their promotion back to the Premier League this season.
