João Cancelo Addresses Fake Narratives About Him
Manchester City defender João Cancelo recently spoke out about false narratives surrounding his time at the club, emphasizing his dedication as a teammate and his resilience in facing challenges off the pitch.
In a statement to A Bola, Cancelo addressed the fake stories circulating about him during his tenure at City. He clarified that he has never been a bad teammate and expressed disappointment over the ungrateful portrayal of his contributions to the team.
Cancelo recounted a personal incident where he was robbed and assaulted at home, yet managed to play the next day against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium. He highlighted the emotional toll of leaving his family, who were still recovering from the traumatic event, to fulfill his professional duties with City.
“These are things you don’t forget,” Cancelo stated, reflecting on the impact of such experiences on his personal and professional life.
