The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has decided to extend the deadline for Direct Entry registration by two weeks due to challenges encountered during security screenings.
This extension, announced by JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin, reflects the board’s commitment to ensuring a fair and accessible registration process for all candidates.
Originally scheduled to conclude on March 28, 2024, the Direct Entry registration period will now remain open until April 11, 2024. This extension comes in response to feedback from candidates who faced difficulties navigating the security measures implemented to address the proliferation of fake A’level certificates.
In a statement, JAMB expressed regret for any inconvenience experienced by prospective Direct Entry candidates and stated its dedication to enhancing the user-friendliness of the registration process.
The board reassured candidates that while streamlining procedures, it remains committed to its plans to prevent individuals from benefiting from fraudulently acquired certificates.
