Jamal Musiala Extends Bayern Munich Contract Until 2030.
Bayern Munich have officially secured the long-term future of Jamal Musiala, with the 21-year-old German international signing a contract extension that keeps him at the club until June 2030. The announcement, made on 14 February 2025, marks a major milestone for both the player and the club.
Musiala, who joined Bayern from Chelsea’s youth academy in 2019, has become a key figure for both club and country. He has made nearly 200 appearances for the German giants, scoring 58 goals and providing 31 assists. His contributions have been instrumental in Bayern’s success, helping them secure four Bundesliga titles, three German Supercups, a Champions League title, a UEFA Super Cup, and a FIFA Club World Cup.
The contract reportedly includes a release clause set at €175 million, which will be active from this summer until 2029, before reducing to €100 million in the final year of his deal. This clause was a key element in the negotiations, demonstrating Bayern’s commitment to meeting player expectations while securing their prized asset.
Club president Herbert Hainer expressed his delight at Musiala’s renewal, emphasising the midfielder’s exceptional talent and the excitement he brings to fans. His decision to stay is seen as a significant statement, especially given interest from several top European clubs.
Musiala’s extension follows similar renewals for other key players, including Alphonso Davies, reinforcing Bayern’s strategy of building a squad around young, world-class talents. With Musiala now committed for the foreseeable future, Bayern continue to lay the foundation for sustained success.
