Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun has given the Approval for the promotion of 10,581 deserving junior officers within the Inspectorate Cadre and Rank and File.
Deputy Inspector-General of Police (DIG), Bala Ciroma, tasked with overseeing the Department of Finance and Administration, alongside the Commissioner of Police (Welfare), has been mandated to spearhead the promotion process.
According to Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumiyiwa Adejobi, in a statement released in Abuja, the promotion list includes 9,831 Police Constables advancing to the rank of Corporal, 81 Corporals rising to the rank of Sergeant, and 669 officers progressing from the rank of Sergeants to Inspectors.
The IGP’s approval underscores the commitment of the Force leadership to foster meritocracy and career advancement. Recognizing the pivotal role of timely promotions in boosting morale and enhancing effectiveness, the IGP statad its significance in sustaining ongoing manpower development initiatives within the Nigeria Police Force.
