Hugo Broos the head coach of the Bafana Bafana says his side will aim to finish their AFCON 2023 campaign on a high.
Hugo Broos and the Bafana Bafana failed to progress to the final of the AFCON after losing 4-2 on penalties to the Super Eagles of Nigeria on Wednesday night.
The Champions of 1996 will now face the Democratic Republic of Congo in the third-place match at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium, Abidjan on Saturday.
“We played a very good game against Nigeria. It was a great performance and we showed that we are a great team again,” Broos told a press in Abidjan on Friday.
“When you exit after 120 minutes, it’s always a huge disappointment. When you play so good, the disappointment is so big. The game tomorrow is special”.
“It depends a bit on which team will be mentally recovered because also for DRC, it was difficult to lose like that”. Hugo told newsmen.
