Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Oba Aderemi Adedapo, the Alayemore of Ido-Osun.
In a heartfelt message, Adeleke extended his condolences to the traditional council, the people of Ido-Osun, and Oba Adedapo’s immediate family.
Adeleke, through his spokesperson Olawale Rasheed, emphasized the late monarch’s commitment to peace and progress within his domain. “My condolences to the people of Ido-Osun in Egbedore local government on the loss of its traditional ruler, Oba Aderemi Adeen Adedapo, Sapoyoro I. Oba Adedapo was a highly dedicated monarch, who made the progress of his subjects and Ido-Osun his core objective while he was alive,” Adeleke stated.
The governor highlighted Oba Adedapo’s distinguished professional background in the legal and architectural fields, noting how the monarch used his expertise to benefit his community. “His demise is a huge loss and I join the people of Ido-Osun in honoring a life full of impacts that defines Oba Adedapo,” Adeleke added. He urged the community to sustain the late monarch’s legacy of good deeds and genuine pursuit of societal betterment.
Adeleke concluded his message by praying for the eternal rest of Oba Adedapo’s soul and expressing hope that those affected by his passing find comfort in the impactful life he led.
Oba Aderemi Adedapo reportedly fell earlier in the week and passed away at the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital Complex (OAUTHC) in Ile-Ife on Friday.
