In response to the unfortunate incident of the collapsed school building at Agbado District Comprehensive High School in Ifo, the Ogun State Government is taking proactive measures to ensure the safety of students in educational facilities.
To guarantee a secure learning environment, the government has formed a committee responsible for conducting integrity tests on school buildings across the state.
This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to prioritising the well-being and safety of students and educators in Ogun State.
During a team inspection of the collapsed building at Agbado District Comprehensive High School (ADCHS), the Special Adviser to the Governor on Education and Technology, Prof Abayomi Arogbabu, revealed the state government’s commitment to addressing the incident.
In addition to the inspection, Prof. Abayomi Arogbabu further disclosed that Governor Dapo Abiodun has taken decisive action by establishing a committee dedicated to school maintenance and rehabilitation.
This committee is tasked with visiting various schools to conduct thorough evaluations, ensuring that classrooms are safe and suitable for modern-day use.
The governor’s proactive approach reflects his commitment to enhancing the educational infrastructure and creating a conducive learning environment for students across the state, He added.
