Ganduje Inaugurates APC France Chapter, Urges Diaspora Support For Tinubu’s Reforms.
The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has inaugurated the new executive committee of the party’s France Chapter in Paris, calling on Nigerians in the diaspora to rally behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reform agenda and his Renewed Hope vision.

The inauguration, which took place over the weekend, brought together prominent members of the APC diaspora community. Speaking at the event, Dr Ganduje emphasised the vital role of unity and collective effort among party members abroad in supporting the administration’s drive for economic transformation.
While acknowledging the challenges of ongoing reforms, Ganduje described them as “painful but necessary” steps to reposition Nigeria’s economy for sustainable growth. He praised the commitment of diaspora members in strengthening the party’s influence overseas through active mobilisation and recruitment.
In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Edwin Olofu, Dr Ganduje also assured attendees that the APC is committed to collaborating with the National Assembly to achieve diaspora voting—aimed at deepening political inclusion for Nigerians living abroad.
“We appreciate you for holding the banner of our party high, expanding its membership, and supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, especially during this critical period of reform. There is now more funding for capital development, and governors and local government chairmen can attest to this,” he stated.
He also highlighted recent party meetings, including the National Executive Committee (NEC) session, which culminated in a vote of confidence in President Tinubu due to the significant progress made under his leadership, particularly in the economic sector.
Dr Ganduje expressed optimism about the APC’s future, noting the party’s increasing internal stability and the defection of key political figures from rival parties.
“There is peace in the APC, unlike in other parties currently grappling with internal crises. This atmosphere has encouraged many to join us—Senators, House of Representatives members, State Assembly legislators, and other influential figures. Our party upholds its constitution and embraces internal democracy.”
In her remarks, the newly inaugurated Chairlady of the APC France Chapter, Hajjiya Amina Musa Baba Suzuki, reiterated the importance of the Nigerian diaspora not only as economic contributors but also as political stakeholders.
“The Nigerian diaspora contributes billions in remittances and investments, but we are also thought leaders and proud ambassadors of Nigeria’s democracy,” she said.
She called for stronger institutional support for diaspora chapters, noting their role as mobilisers, soft-power diplomats, and advocates of Nigeria’s national interest abroad.
Hajjiya Suzuki also made a passionate appeal for the institutionalisation of diaspora voting. “Under your visionary leadership, we believe diaspora voting can become a reality. It is not only possible—it is necessary. We respectfully urge you to make this dream come true during the life of this administration. After all, where there is a will, there is always a way,” she concluded.
The event was attended by several notable dignitaries, including Professor Hafsat Ganduje, wife of the APC National Chairman; APC National Women Leader, Dr Mary Alile; Chairman of all APC Chairmen in Europe, Honourable Tunde Doherty; and HRM Oba Aderounmu Bamidele Sadiq, the OBA Yoruba in France, Ilufemiloye I of France, among others.
