Gambia’s head coach of the National team Tom Saintfiet has resigned from his post following the team’s unsuccessful exploit at the AFCON tournament on going in Cote d’Ivoire.
Gambia who couldn’t get a single point at the group matches had a thrilling encounter against Cameroun which ended in a 3-2 defeat for Gambia in the Group C Final match. They crashed out of the tournament without any points and their 50 year old Belgian coach has dim it fit to call it a day in taking charge of the team.
Gambia struggled throughout the Tournament having lost all the 3games played in the Group stages. The quest for a new gaffer will now be on the cards for the Football Federation of Gambia.
