Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has achieved a remarkable feat with her latest movie “Everybody Loves Jenifa,” which has grossed N1.46 billion at the cinemas.
According to film distribution company Film One Entertainment, this achievement breaks the record of her previous movie “A Tribe Called Judah,” which earned N1.41 billion.
The company noted that more money is still being generated from the movie’s cinema screenings, thanking fans in Nigeria and Ghana for their support.
Funke Akindele’s fans and colleagues congratulated her on social media, praising her dedication to her craft and her ability to produce successful movies without resorting to emotional posts for promotion.
