Terem Moffi, the Super Eagles forward, marked a milestone by scoring his 50th goal in the French top-flight during OGC Nice’s 2-1 home defeat to Nantes on Sunday.
Nantes took the lead through Matthis Abline in the 19th minute, but Moffi leveled the score for the home team with a penalty 18 minutes before the end of the match.
This goal was Moffi’s 10th of the season for Les Aiglons and his fourth since returning from the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
However, Nantes secured the victory with Mostafa Mohamed converting another penalty in the 78th minute. Despite the loss, Nice maintains their position in fifth place on the log with 43 points accumulated from 27 games played so far in the 2023/2024 Ligue 1 season.
