Angel Di Maria believes Messi will shine under new manager come next season.
Angel Di Maria who played 7 seasons, during his time, he played 332 matches and scored 92 goals, has said Lionel Messi will thrive next season at Paris Saint-Germain after the expected exit of ex-Tottenham manager, Mauricio Pochettino.
Di Maria who scored 5 goals in the current season with Paris saint German has said Goodbye to the club after he won the French Ligue 1 title this season.
According to reports, he left the club after his contract expired and is in talks with Juventus over a move.
He however feels his fellow countryman Messi will perform better in his second spell with PSG.
PSG’s attacking prowess failed to to live up to expectation this season, but it is believe next season they will hit top gear. Lionel Messi underperform for PSG in his debut season with injuries and illness playing a major factor, and they could now look to find a new head coach to kick start the season in a beautiful way, chasing major honors most especially the Champions League.
“It seems like they also want [Pochettino] to leave. There will be a very big change, but I think Messi can handle it.
Messi now looks sharper in the international break after winning the Finalissima trophy and bagging 5 goals against Estonia.
“It will help him to be much better next season. I think he will start very well because he ended up contributing goals, giving assists, feeling very comfortable and adapting more and more [late this past season],” Di Maria said to TyC Sports.
