Farmers Killed In Ondo As Residents Protest At Governor’s Office.
Tragedy struck in Ondo State as armed herders attacked a farming settlement in Aba Oyinbo, Akure North Local Council Area, killing several farmers in the early hours of Wednesday. This latest attack comes just two weeks after over 20 farmers were murdered during a midnight invasion of four communities in Ala Elefosan.
In response to the continued violence, angry residents stormed the Governor’s Office in protest, expressing frustration over the government’s inability to curb the frequent attacks. The demonstrators also barricaded major roads in the state, leaving commuters and motorists stranded.
The growing insecurity in Ondo has raised concerns among residents, with calls for urgent intervention to protect farmers and rural communities from further attacks.
