The football and business portal Football Benchmark has compiled this month’s list of the most valuable players in the sport. According to them, Erling Haaland is now the most valuable player, rated at a price of 194 million euros, ahead of Kylian Mbappe, who until now had topped the ranking in almost all the lists.
Real Madrid come in strongly with Vinicius as the third most valued player, at 157m euros, and fourth is Jude Bellingham, at 152m euros.
Mbappe, despite reaching the World Cup final, has been overtaken by the momentum of Haaland, top scorer in Europe’s top five leagues, top scorer in the Champions League and having won the treble under Pep Guardiola.
It is worth noting that Mbappe is already, despite being just 24 years of age, the oldest player in this top ten of the most valuable players. Haaland is 22, Vinicius 23 and Real Madrid’s latest signing from Dortmund is just 20.
Gavi, at 18, is already sixth, with a value of 140m. Another Barcelona star, Pedri, is ninth with a valuation of 129m.
Napoli’s Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen Wraps up the top ten with a value of 118m.
