Nigerian singer Peter Okoye (Mr P) has responded to allegations by his twin brother Paul Okoye (Rudeboy) that he stole his song “Winning”.
Rudeboy claimed the song belonged to him, intended for his forthcoming album, and alleged the producer hijacked the track. Reacting to the allegations, Mr P shared videos of his conversation with producer Vampire, confirming he commissioned “Winning” in Lagos.
Ogbogu ‘Calypso’ Chijioke was the original composer, and Mr P contributed to the song. Mr P stated that “Winning” was part of Psquare’s unreleased album tracks. He accused Rudeboy of trying to tarnish his image since their split.
“Enough of the negativity!” Mr P declared. “The world needs to know the truth. Every time he’s trying to tarnish my name. Maybe because I wasn’t posting music-related content for 4 months, he thinks I’ve lost interest.”
Mr P emphasized his desire for peace: “My prayer is that we all win. I want it for us all. I’m in a good place mentally and creatively now; allow me to enjoy and celebrate my wins. I celebrate you and yours too! Enough of the negativity! All I want is to release my music, conduct my business, and live in peace…not every time drama.”
