Nigeria defensive midfielder Chukwuemeka Emmanuel Okereke has signed a two year deal In Finland with IFK Mariehamn.
Okereke signed The two-year contract over the weekend.
And while speaking with newsmen after the deal, Okereke’s agent is optimistic that the strong defensive midfielder who also plays as a center back will excel in his new club.
Emmanuel Okereke last played for Wilbrose Football Club in Port Harcourt and is expected to hit the ground running with his new side in Finland.
IFK Mariehhamn are currently 9th on the 12-club Finland Veikkausliiga League table.
The team lost 1-0 away to HJK on Friday and will play their next league match on Saturday, February 3rd, 2024.
If all goes well with his fitness, Okereke might be available to make his debut for the club by then.
