Eldest Daughter Of Late Former Governor Abiola Ajimobi Passes Away In The UK.

Bisola Ajimobi Kola-Daisi, the eldest daughter of the late former Governor of Oyo State, Abiola Ajimobi, has tragically passed away in the United Kingdom. The news of her death emerged in the early hours of Thursday, 27 March 2025, sending shockwaves through her family, friends, and the wider community.

Bisola, aged 42, was married to Kolapo Kola-Daisi and was a devoted mother of three. Until her untimely passing, she held the position of Special Adviser to Atiku Bagudu, the Minister of Budget and Planning, within President Bola Tinubu’s administration. Her role underscored her commitment to public service, a legacy that echoed the political influence of her late father, who served as Oyo State Governor until his death in 2020.

The sad news was confirmed by Bolaji Tunji, a former Special Adviser to the late Governor Ajimobi. Speaking to journalists in Ibadan on Thursday, Tunji stated simply, “Yes. It has been confirmed.” Details surrounding the cause of Bisola’s death remain undisclosed at this time, though sources indicate she passed away in the UK, where she had been residing or visiting.

Bisola’s death marks another profound loss for the Ajimobi family, who continue to mourn the passing of the former governor nearly five years ago. Known for her grace and dedication, Bisola leaves behind a husband, three children, and a grieving extended family. Tributes are expected to pour in as news of her passing spreads across Nigeria and beyond.

Further details regarding funeral arrangements or official statements from the family are yet to be released. The thoughts of many remain with the Ajimobi and Kola-Daisi families during this difficult time.
