Eguavoen Invites 35 Players For Super Eagles B Team Ahead Of CHAN Qualifier Against Ghana.
Super Eagles B team coach Augustine Eguavoen has called up 35 players to prepare for Nigeria’s crucial Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifying fixture against Ghana. Among the notable inclusions are Remo Stars’ wing-back Ismail Sadiq, Kano Pillars’ forward Zikifilu Rabiu, and Enugu Rangers’ midfielder Kazeem Ogunleye, each expected to play pivotal roles in Nigeria’s bid to secure a spot in the 2025 CHAN tournament.
The first leg of the two-part fixture is scheduled for the weekend of 20th – 22nd December, with the return leg to follow one week later. The victorious side will earn a place in CHAN 2025, which will be jointly hosted by Kenya, Mozambique, and Tanzania. The tournament is set to run from 1st to 28th February 2025.
The squad is balanced across positions, featuring players from various top clubs in Nigeria’s domestic league, including Rivers United, Enyimba FC, and Lobi Stars.
