The Defence Headquarters has just issued a public notice declaring 97 individuals wanted for alleged involvement in acts of terrorism and threats to national security. Among those sought is Simon Ekpa, identified as a leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
Ekpa, aged 35 and a trained lawyer based in Finland, is alleged to have engaged in activities detrimental to the nation’s security.
They include Alhaji Shingi; Malindi Yakubu; Boka ; Dogo Gide; Halilu Sububu; Ado Aliero ; Bello Turji; Dan Bokkolo; Labi Yadi ; Nagala; Saidu Idris; Kachalla Rugga and Sani Gurgu.
Also listed are: Abu Zaida; Modu Sulum; Baba Data; Ahmad; Sani Teacher; Baa Sadiq; Abdul Saad; Kaka Abi; Mohammad Khalifa; Umar Tella; Abu Mutahid; Mallam Mohammad; Mallam Tahiru Baga; Uzaiya and Ali Ngule.
The rest include:Chika Edoziem; Egede; Zuma ; ThankGod; Gentle; Flavour ; Mathew; David Ndubuisi ; High Chief Williams Agbor; Ebuka Nwaka; Friday Ojimka; Obiemesi Chukwudi aka Dan Chuk ; David Ezekwem Chidiebube and Amobi Chinonso Okafor aka Temple.
The Defence Headquarters urges anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of these individuals to come forward and assist in efforts to address security challenges facing the nation.
