Deputy Administrator Isobel Coleman of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) is leading efforts to bolster trade relations between the United States and Africa.
Coleman is attending the Atlanta Phambili event in Georgia, showcasing a pivotal moment in fostering economic partnerships.
Organized by Prosper Africa and the U.S. Mission to South Africa, the Atlanta Phambili event serves as a dynamic platform to launch the economic pillar of the U.S. Mission’s Atlanta Phambili initiative.
The initiative aims to cultivate fresh investment avenues for both American and African enterprises, reinforcing ties between the two continents.
During her visit, Deputy Administrator Coleman is slated to participate in an investment roundtable, focusing on channeling private sector capital into Africa while addressing investment risks for U.S. investors. This strategic dialogue underscores the commitment to facilitating secure and lucrative investment opportunities in the African market.
Additionally, Coleman will deliver the keynote address at the Trade and Innovation Forum. This forum will spotlight Africa as an important trade ally for the United States, emphasizing how innovation and technology can invigorate opportunities, particularly for small- and medium-sized enterprises along the Africa-U.S. trade corridor.
Furthermore, it will underscore the U.S. government’s pivotal role in fostering and facilitating trade and investment across the African continent.
