Daniel Ogunmodede ‘Honoured’ To Serve As Super Eagles Assistant Coach.
Remo Stars head coach, Daniel Ogunmodede, has expressed his pride and gratitude for being appointed to the Super Eagles technical crew. Ogunmodede, along with Rangers head coach Fidelis Ilechukwu, was brought in to assist caretaker coach Augustine Eguavoen for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda.
Reflecting on the opportunity, Ogunmodede said he was honoured to serve his country in this capacity, contributing to the efforts of the national team as they seek to secure qualification for the tournament.
The Super Eagles delivered a commanding performance in their first match, defeating the Benin Republic’s Cheetahs 3-0. However, they were held to a goalless draw in their second fixture against Rwanda’s Amavubi, rounding off the two matches with four points.
The Super Eagles remain focused on their qualification campaign, with Ogunmodede’s involvement being seen as a positive step for both the national team and Nigerian football.
