CDCFIB Reopens Recruitment Portal For 2025 Exercise.
The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced the reopening of its recruitment portal today, 21 July 2025, following a temporary suspension to enhance system performance. The move comes as part of the Board’s commitment to ensuring a smooth, transparent, and fair application process for aspiring candidates across Nigeria.
The portal, which facilitates recruitment into the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), and Federal Fire Service (FFS), was briefly suspended due to an overwhelming volume of applications. The CDCFIB has apologised for the inconvenience caused, explaining that the upgrade was necessary to accommodate the high demand and maintain the integrity of the recruitment exercise.
Applicants who had already begun their applications are urged to return to the portal to complete and submit their forms. The Board has reiterated that the process remains entirely free of charge, warning candidates to beware of fraudulent schemes requesting payments. The recruitment exercise, which covers roles in the General Duty, Inspectorate, and Assistant cadres, is open to Nigerian citizens aged 18 to 35 who meet the specified physical, medical, and academic requirements.
To complete their applications, candidates should visit the official CDCFIB portal at https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng, starting from today, 21 July 2025. The portal will remain open until 11 August 2025, giving applicants three weeks to finalise their submissions. Required documents include a birth certificate, National Identification Number (NIN) slip, indigene letter, and relevant academic certificates. Candidates are reminded to apply for only one of the four paramilitary agencies, as multiple applications will lead to automatic disqualification.
The CDCFIB has expressed gratitude for the enthusiasm shown by young Nigerians eager to serve in these vital agencies. “We are committed to ensuring a merit-based and transparent process that offers equal opportunities to all eligible candidates,” said Major General AM Jibril (retd), Secretary to the Board. Successful applicants will be invited for a Computer-Based Test (CBT) and physical screening at a later date.
Prospective candidates are advised to rely solely on official CDCFIB communications and avoid unauthorised sources to prevent falling victim to scams. With the portal now fully operational, the Board encourages applicants to act promptly to secure their chance to join Nigeria’s esteemed paramilitary services.
