Former Argentina international Carlos Tevez has been discharged from the hospital following a bout of chest pains that led to his admission earlier this week.
The 40-year-old, currently serving as the head coach for Independiente, was hospitalized in Buenos Aires on Tuesday but has since been released.
Independiente, the Argentinian top-flight club, confirmed Tevez’s discharge and stated that he will now rest at home before resuming training on Thursday.
Tevez, known for his stints at Manchester United, Manchester City, and West Ham, retired as a player in June 2022 after a successful career. He won 76 caps for Argentina between 2004 and 2015, showcasing his talent on the international stage.
After retiring, Tevez transitioned into coaching and took over as Independiente’s boss in August 2023. Before this role, he briefly managed Rosario Central, demonstrating his passion for football beyond playing.
During his playing career in the Premier League from 2006 to 2013, Tevez made 201 appearances and achieved significant success, winning the Premier League title twice with Manchester United (2007-08 and 2008-09) and once with Manchester City (2011-12).
