Algerian side USM Algiers rocked with Injuries ahead of their CAF Confederations Cup Clash Against Rivers United.
As USM Algiers, the defending champions of the CAF Confederation Cup, gear up to face Rivers United in the first leg of the knockout stage, they are facing a challenge with several key players sidelined due to injuries.
Reports from the team’s camp indicate that five players will miss the first-leg match due to injury. The affected players are Oussamma Chita, Salim Boukhenchouche, Ismail Belkacemi, Brahim Benzaza, and team captain Zinedine Belaid.
Notably, these players are absent from the roster announced for the crucial match scheduled at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.
Despite the setback, the African Super Cup champions have arrived in Nigeria, ready to face the challenge under the guidance of coach Garrido. The team departed from Algeria late on Thursday evening after completing their final training session before the game.
