BUA Cement, one of Nigeria’s leading cement manufacturers, has announced its intention to reduce the price of cement in Nigeria.
This announcement was made by the company’s Chairman, Abdul Samad Rabiu, following a meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the State House, Abuja.
Abdul Samad Rabiu stated that, in support of the government’s efforts to lower the prices of essential commodities, BUA Cement is planning to commission two new cement plants by the end of the year.
President Bola Tinubu is expected to preside over the commissioning. With the addition of these new plants, BUA Cement’s total capacity will increase to 17 million metric tonnes.
This expansion is aimed at bringing down the price of cement to approximately 3,500 naira per bag, providing relief to consumers.
