Tinubu Swears In Abdullahi Bello As Chairman Of The Code Of Conduct Bureau.
President Bola Tinubu has officially sworn in Dr Abdullahi Usman Bello as the new Chairman of the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB). The ceremony took place on Wednesday, 23rd October 2024, at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, just before the start of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting.
The Code of Conduct Bureau plays a key role in promoting transparency within public service. Its primary mandate includes ensuring that public officials comply with the nation’s code of conduct and ethical standards, particularly through the declaration of assets by those occupying public office.
Following the swearing-in, President Tinubu proceeded to preside over the Federal Executive Council meeting, which began immediately after the ceremony.
Dr Abdullahi Bello’s appointment is expected to strengthen the bureau’s efforts in fostering accountability and integrity among public officials.
