NFF Appoints Aliyu Zubairu As Head Coach Of The Flying Eagles.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced the appointment of Aliyu Zubairu as the new Head Coach of the National U-20 Boys team, the Flying Eagles. The decision was approved by the NFF’s Executive Committee following a recommendation from its Technical and Development Sub-Committee.
Zubairu, who recently led El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri to victory in the President Federation Cup, defeating Abia Warriors FC in the final held in Lagos this June, takes on the role with immediate effect.
His first challenge as Head Coach will be to assemble and prepare the Flying Eagles for the upcoming WAFU B U-20 Championship, scheduled to take place in October/November in Togo. The tournament will determine the zone’s representative for the Africa U-20 Cup of Nations next year.
The NFF’s appointment of Zubairu underscores the federation’s confidence in his ability to guide the Flying Eagles through this crucial period and beyond, as they aim to secure success on the continental stage.
