Barcelona have appointed former Bayern Munich boss Hansi Flick as their new head coach on a two-year contract. The 59-year-old takes over from Xavi, who was sacked last week.
Flick brings a wealth of experience to the Camp Nou, having previously guided Bayern Munich to a treble in 2020, winning the Bundesliga, German Cup, and Champions League. His successful tenure at Bayern Munich was followed by a stint as the head coach of the German national team.
Barcelona forward Robert Lewandowski, 35, played under Flick at Bayern Munich for two seasons, where the pair enjoyed considerable success.
