Former UFC champion, Francis Ngannou, has claimed Anthony Joshua won’t be able to resist his knock downs as he did to Tyson Fury.
Francis Ngannou is set to confront Anthony Joshua in a bout slated to hold on Friday, March 8, 2024. In what will only be Ngannou’s second professional boxing bout ever.
Despite his little time in the game, Ngannou almost recorded one of the biggest upsets in heavyweight history when he fought Fury last October. He showed some remarkable fist as he dropped Fury in the third round.
However he eventually lost the bout in a split decision in that encounter.
While speaking in a recent interview ahead of the anticipated bout, when he was asked about his next opponent’s resilience, Ngannou said;
“Yeah, I have a doubt about that. Tyson showed that he’s very resilient. I saw him come back from knockdowns like you wouldn’t believe.
“So I think he’s probably one of the most resistant [sic] person out there, and that’s not a disrespect to AJ.
“I don’t believe that AJ would take what Tyson did,” Ngannou said on DAZN when asked if Joshua could take what he dished out to Fury”
All eyes will be on the bout slated to hold in Saudi Arabia come march 8 2024.
