Nigerian comedian Bovi Ugboma has expressed his disapproval of beating children as a form of discipline.
In a recent episode of ‘The Honest Bunch’ podcast, Bovi emphasized that children should not be physically punished, regardless of their actions.
“I don’t advocate for beating children. You should let children be. When you hit a kid, are you really trying to correct them or are you frustrated?” he questioned.
Bovi also criticized the practice of senior students punishing junior colleagues in primary and secondary schools.
“No child should be given authority over another child in the name of ‘senior student’. It really has to stop,” he declared.
