A Federal High Court in Lagos has dismissed a fundamental rights suit filed by Nigerian crossdresser Bobrisky against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the National Assembly, seeking N200,000,000, N1,000,000,000 in damages.
Bobrisky had filed the lawsuit claiming that the EFCC and the National Assembly had violated his fundamental rights, but the court ruled that he failed to provide sufficient proof to support his allegations.
The judge, Alexander Owoeye, held that Bobrisky’s claims were unsubstantiated and lacked credible evidence, and therefore, the claims against the EFCC and the National Assembly were dismissed.
