The Miss Universe 2024 website temporarily displayed Guy Murray-Bruce’s bio instead of Chidimma Adetshina’s, Nigeria’s representative, on its voting portal.
Chidimma, the newly crowned Miss Universe Nigeria, arrived in Mexico last week to compete in the global pageant. Although her photo, date of birth, and social media profile remained correct, Murray-Bruce’s bio was briefly featured.
The Miss Universe 2024 pageant will take place on November 16 at Arena CDMX in Mexico, where Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua will crown her successor.
Chidimma, born to a Nigerian father and Mozambican mother in South Africa, previously sparked controversy during Miss South Africa 2024 due to her nationality. She withdrew from the contest amid criticism.
Silverbird Group, organizers of Miss Universe Nigeria, invited Chidimma to participate, and she went on to win the pageant.
Murray-Bruce, is a veteran in the media and entertainment industry, He serves as the national director (Nigeria) for Miss World and Miss Universe pageant.
